High School Meme

Courtesy of the ever-delightful Frog.

What were your three favorite bands?
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Ani DiFranco

What was your favorite outfit?
Jeans, flannel shirt with a t-shirt underneath it, Converse.

What was up with your hair?
Long, straight, dyed, with bangs.

Who were your friends?
Depends what year. My best friend was Scand, pretty much always. Other than that, it was phasic.

What did you do after school?
Worked at Tomaselli's Cafe, mainly. Volleyball in the fall.

What did you do in your summers?
Work, again. Went to the river with my friend Bry and baked.

Did you take the bus?
Not often. My mom drove me until I was old enough to drive, then I drove myelf.

Who did you have a crush on?
Again, depends what year/month/day it was. Mostly people who were 100% unsuitable, for one reason or another.

Did you fight with your parents?
Constantly.

Who did you have a celebrity crush on?
Ani, mainly. Kurt Cobain, until he died.

Did you smoke cigarettes?
Sometimes. Not regularly, but socially.

Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?
Heh. No. There were less than 100 students in my high school. Finding my locker was not exactly a challenge.

Did you go to prom?
Four fucking times, along with three homecoming dances and countless smaller things. What a complete waste of time.

Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?
I don't think I thought I'd be as settled as I am. And I thought I'd be getting a PhD. Priorities change, I guess.
