Good stuff in Virginia: Mommy & Me Pet Care and Johnny Lange

Been here just a few weeks, and there are two local business people I HAVE to recommend to review readers.

First, Sandi Carley from Mommy & Me Pet Care. Sandi took great care of our whole crew while we were in Boston for the wedding this weekend. They loved her, she called or emailed us after every visit, and her rates were fantastic. Knowing we can call on Sandi is going to help Mark and I a ton in the next few years, I'm sure. Other than a vet, a good pet sitter is the number one person why rely on.

Secondly, Johnny Lange, who tattoos at Comes a Time Tattoo & Body Piercing in Fairfax. The ship tattoo I got today is Johnny's work, and I think it speaks for itself. It's gorgeous. I can't find a flaw with it. It was also as easy as it possibly could have been, given the location--it hurt, but Johnny's got a great steady hand and as light a touch as possible, and he works FAST. The whole thing only took about two hours. He was also a pleasure to work with--he made me very comfortable, which is saying something, considering I had to spend the entire time topless. The shop is nice too--large and comfortable, with private rooms for tattooing and piercing. Definitely a bit on the high priced side, compared to the other work I've gotten, but completely worth it. Oh, and he brings his dog with him! She's a Chinese Crested, a breed I never thought I'd warm to, but she's absolutely awesome.

Huge props to both of these local business people. I'm very excited to have found each of them and will definitely patronize both of them again. Hopefully, they're just the beginning of many great new discoveries here.
